Founded in 2020, the SOL Collective was established to uplift and showcase the voices of women of color in the storytelling community and arts scene of Chicago. The name SOL holds significant meaning for us as it symbolizes our identity as women of the Sun, our connection to our ancestral spirits, and our commitment to sharing the Stories of Our Lives.

SOL Collective is a grassroots storytelling organization, and most of our work is produced through volunteer efforts. Our goal is to continue to embody artistic excellence, and we need assistance from our community. Funds will go towards workshop scholarships for new tellers and production support, which includes branding and marketing.
